The Mana Regen: World of Warcraft Dragonflight 10.2 Week 5, Charge!

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope
Searrim and Kaelcas, dead. Smolderon doing Smolderon things.

I've decided to call this weekly post reviewing and previewing the week in World of Warcraft The Mana Regen. Let me know what you think in the comments!

World of Warcraft Dragonflight 10.2 Week 5 is upon us, which means we have another catalyst charge available to turn ho-hum gear into tier pieces. Hooray!

The weekly quests available around the town square area of Valdrakken include Aiding the Accord: Superbloom and the Weekend Event is Emissary of War. Complete 4 mythic dungeons and get some heroic gear (non-tier) from the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid loot table.

Of course you will also have the A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens and Blooming Dreamseeds quests, too, available in the main hub of The Emerald Dream. Many folks are likely nearing Renown 18 with The Dream Wardens at this point, and so that Dreambound Augment Rune is only... 100K gold away. I still need to grind some rep with world quests.

I finally learned the Technique: Contract Dream Wardens for inscription from the Superbloom box now that, as my guildie Zert rightly noted, it doesn't matter. That seems to be the way of it with inscription. Here's the absolute bedlam that was the Superbloom event Tuesday afternoon after reset.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight The Emerald Dream
A Superbloom event. It was bedlam.

Blooming Dreamseeds still have the off chance for transmog, pet, or mount drops, but I'll admit I'm a little over farming Emerald Dewdrops to water these blooms. I feel like at some point they're going to buff drops of these so that we have so many Emerald Dewdrops we could fill Emerald Lakes. Perhaps farming these drops will make more sense later in the patch.

Also. Tabards. So. Many. TABARDS. From the Dream Wardens, specifically. I've vendored at least 10. The lovely ladies over at Girls Gone WoW talked about this abundance of tabards (tabundance?) this week on their podcast. I hadn't much thought about it until listening. But then today...

And by one, I mean three. Three more tabards. Why?

Doomforge Brewing, Heroic Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope 6/9

We successfully downed Nymue Monday night, but we are still progressing on the Smolderon fight. There are a lot of red/orange hues in this room, and most of Smolderon's spells/mechanics are also red/orange. It's a bit chaotic, to be honest.

We seem to have problems getting everyone out alive of the spread and soak alternating dance bit. The flaming donuts (rings) is SO MUCH damage, but we seem to have figured out healing cool downs there. I imagine we'll get it tomorrow night.

Then it's off to T. Swift and Fyrakk.

If you are experiencing Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope in Looking For Raid (LFR) - and I suggest you do if you don't have a guild that raids or don't feel comfortable raiding at normal/heroic/mythic levels - it is open through Wing 3. Wing 4 is not yet available. It opens next week with reset.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 3 Keystone Hero Achieved!

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 3 Keystone Hero
I kept the receipts.

I had a busy week in World of Warcraft Dragonflight's Mythic + Season 3. It was a "push week," as they say - that is, the affixes were not awful in most people's opinions.

I still hate spiteful. They make my life miserable as a holy priest.

I managed to time two +20s, so I have portals to Black Rook Hold and Atal'Dazar now. With those keys timed, a few 20s closely missed, and a handful of 18s and 19s timed, my Raider.io score broke 2500. Huzzah!

More importantly, I set myself up for a good vault. I took a new necklace for a 40 point ilvl upgrade, replacing my last holdover piece from Season 2.

This week in M+ we'll be dealing with tyrannical, storming, and raging. Before writing this post, I wanted to get a sense of how this combination feels.

Scene: Dawn of the Infinite Murozond's Rise +20. Cast: me, a holy priest, healing; a protection paladin as tank; a balance druid (boomkin), a beast mastery hunter, and a havoc demon hunter.

Despite a slightly rough start on Tyr (we wiped), we managed to time the key with only a few more deaths along the way. Chrono-Lord Deios is spicy on tyrannical.

Storming can prove annoying. Raging will require soothes - which means you'll need a class that can remove enrage, like hunter or druid. Raging is less dangerous on a tyrannical week (than a fortified week), but at least one class with an enrage dispell is a must.

Of course you won't need to worry about raging for any keystone below a +14, and you won't need to worry about storming for any keystone below a +7. But DO go and try out the M+ system even if it is just a +2. I think there's something for everyone in this system.

And with that, I'm OOM.

Thank you for reading. For Azeroth!
