World of Warcraft Dragonflight: Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope
Proudmoore's Doomforge Brewing began its normal raid progression Wednesday night in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. We managed to defeat 8/9 bosses, and we made good progression on Fyrak.
I anticipate that we will defeat Fyrak when we return to raiding on Monday.
Overall, I find this raid to have interesting fights and a good emerald dream flavor with some fiery bits thrown in. I don't have a lot of feedback to offer on invidual bosses after the first run through.
But the Council of Dreams with the ducks is neat for a council fight. (I still have flashbacks to the garbage council fight in BFA: Conclave of the Chosen.)
The layout reminds me in many ways of Sepulcher of the First Ones from 9.2 in Shadowlands, which I also thought was a good raid. (Honestly, say what you will about Shadowlands, but I thought the raids were good with Sanctum of Domination dragging down the average - Castle Nathria and SFO were bangers.)
World of Warcraft Dragonflight: Mythic + Season 3
I was a bit skeptical about some of the dungeons brought back into World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 3 M+ rotation. I was not looking forward to Throne of Tides. Or The Everbloom. At all.
However, I have been pleasantly surprised. Throne of Tides can be a bit of a mess at times for melee DPS especially, but The Everbloom is actually kinda fun. I did really enjoy Gorgrond and its aesthetic in WoD, and this takes me back to that.
The worst dungeon so far for me has been Darkheart Thicket. The trash early in that dungeon is indeed a nightmare. This whining version of Malfurion makes me not unhappy that he is presently in Ardenweald for the foreseeable future.
I'm rocking my holy priest, Kaelcas, freshly race changed to a Void Elf right now, and I'm really trying to just stick with one healer for this whole tier (at least until we're in the doldrums phase again).
The outlook for holy was a bit meh, but I'm finding it to work alright so far. Admittedly, I've only been through 10s so far. I just got Dragonflight Season Explorer: Season Three, so I'm, uh, kind of a big deal.
I'm kidding. In reality, I'd like to hit 3K this tier. I split too much time among different healers in 10.1, and so the highest score I achieved then was 2.5K. Goals, you know?
World of Warcraft Dragonflight 10.2: The Superbloom, Emerald Bounty, and Emerald Frenzy
I'm still engaging these the public events of World of Warcraft Dragonflight 10.2. The Superbloom hasn't been as super recently with some iterations failing to get to epic. Emerald Dewdrops, too, have been in shorter supply for Emerald Bounties, from which I am consistently failing to loot any transmog, pets, or mounts. This result is par for the WoW course given I'm still hoping for that Headless Horseman's steed... and the X-45 Heartbreaker.
I drop in for the Emerald Frenzy now and again to replenish my Emerald Dewdrops and to just experience everything in that Slimer shade of green.
I have some thoughts on the 10.2.5 announcement that I'll save for another post, and I want to wade into the ocean of controversy surrounding the end-of-raid cinematic, too.
